Alright, here we go. The Jays’ 30-22 start is nice, but now’s the time to find out if they’re for real. The Rays bring their league-best 34-17 record to Rogers Centre tonight to start a three-gamer, with the Yankees following for a weekend series before Toronto heads to Tampa Bay for another three starting next Monday. It doesn’t get much easier after that, either: The Jays head to Colorado, San Diego and Philly with a couple home series with San Francisco and St. Louis mixed in before the end of June.
If you ask me, Tampa Bay is a team that should give Jays fans plenty of home — not just because they hang tough in the East and aren’t named the Yankees or Red Sox, but because they were able to do so two years ago with a starting rotation headed by James Shields and Matt Garza. How many people thought that duo could get them to the World Series? I’m guessing about as many that think the Jays can get there with Shaun Marcum and Ricky Romero. Not that I’m saying it’s gonna happen, but things as strange have.
Anyway, noted Jay killer Garza gets the ball in tonight’s opener, with Brandon Morrow making meĀ all kinds of nervous on the Toronto side. Let’s see what happens!

I think NYY is the test. Tampa doesn’t have the swagger mentally that the Yanks have. Just listen to a broadcast, and you can hear the announcers go off about it. Both teams announcers, and even the Jays guys; Especially Rod Black from TSN…. and that yankee magic…they’re never out of it….especially here in the famed yankee stadium….only a matter of time before the yanks take it… the ghosts are in the stadium will do something for them to win it…..forget it when Rivera comes in…etc!
Tampa doesn’t have fumbling douche-bags willing to suck their fucking dicks, and that’s the Jays announcers. But if you gave Micheal Kaye a chance to go back door from any of the players, you know they’re going deep…SEE YA!!! THE YANKEES WIN!!! THE YANKEES WIN!!!! THEEEEEE YANKEEEEEEES……. WINNNNNN!!!!
