So long, Chris Bosh. Though he’s still listed as indefinite, Raptors team doctor Paul Marks announced today Bosh could miss weeks after last night’s facesmash, meaning he’s almost certainly out through the end of the regular season, which is likely as far as the team will get without the big fella. Bosh had facial surgery in Cleveland today and his hopeless mates fell at home to the Celtics, 115-104.
Hedo Turkoglu returned to the starting lineup but left with a sore nose after banging heads with Tony Allen seven minutes in. A banged up schnoz? If a light head cold couldn’t keep Turkish Delight from hitting the clubs, then a little nasal injury isn’t gonna stand much of a chance.
As for the rest of our heroes, Jose Calderon wrapped up the evening with an inspiring four-point, nine-assist effort and future superstar Andrea Bargnani finished with 17 on 8-of-22 from the field. Sonny Weems was one of the only bright spots for the Raps, scoring a career-high 21 points on 8-of-13.
Chicago had the night off, so the loss leaves the Raptors a half game up on the final playoff spot at 38-40. The Bulls, with a game in hand, are at the ACC Sunday to face the Raps in a battle of who wants to stumble ass-backwards in the postseason.
