Ray Allen takes it at Turk
New look lineup, same as result as every other time they’ve faced the Celtics the past two years (save for a shocking win in Boston in 2008). Hedo Turkoglu scored six points and added five assists in his Raptors debut tonight, a 106-90 loss to Boston.
The game wasn’t on RaptorsTV so I can’t really say anything about Turkoglu or the team’s performance, but from following the boxscore it seemed as though Jay Triano and Doc Rivers let their starters play much of the first three quarters before giving way to the Patrick O’Bryants and Brian Scalabrines. Chris Bosh was the high man for Toronto, scoring 21 in 28 minutes and Jose Calderon had his best offensive game of the preseason, scoring 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting.
Again, I didn’t see the game, but a bit disappointing considering the burn Triano gave his starting five. A couple positives from his bench, however — Sonny Weems scored 12 on 6-of-10 and Jarrett Jack had 12 and five assists.
The loss drops Toronto to 2-3 in the preseason, with a date on tap tomorrow.
