Police clean up the crime scene Saturday night
As expected, the Steve McNair case has gotten uglier with more details being released. According to reports, McNair’s wife wasn’t aware her husband was having an affair until learning of his murder. Then again, most affairs are kept from spouses, so I suppose that’s not too out of the ordinary. Nashville courts have no records of a pending divorce, though McNair’s home in the city was already on the market for $3 million at the time of his death. Regardless of whether or not McNair and his wife were separated, I can’t imagine this was the way she would’ve liked to find out about neither his death nor affair.
Also, according to Nashville police, Sahel Kazemi purchased a gun last week, believed to be the weapon used to kill McNair before she took her own life. Police are still yet to declare it a murder-suicide, but all the evidence thus far and the fact they aren’t considering any other suspects makes it all but apparent.
Of course, much more to come as the situation develops. For now, a public memorial for McNair is scheduled for Thursday in Whites Creek, Tennessee.
