Brian Tallet, set to make quick work of the Reds
Interleague play continues tonight, with the Jays returning to Rogers Centre to face Chris Sabo and the Cincinnati Reds. Speaking of Rogers Centre, here’s a fast fact I picked up from Jordan Bastian’s notes on bluejays.com: Toronto is 19-6 in games where the roof is closed and just 1-7 with the roof open (plus, 1-0 in games where the roof was both opened and closed). I’d be glad to throw those numbers out the window though — I say off with the roof.
Brian Tallet gets the start for Toronto tonight against Cincinnati’s Micah Owings. Tomorrow it’s Scott Richmond, who was originally slated for tonight before being called upon in relief Saturday night, and Bronson Arroyo, who I recall the Jays tattooed for about 27 runs in two innings in a start last year.
