Mickael Pietrus, or King Pietrus as he'll be known from now on
Somebody give my man a little help! Also, my man could help himself by hitting a couple free throws down the stretch. LeBron kept the Cavs close tonight, scoring 41 points, but Superman and the Magic came out with a 99-89 win in Game 3 of the East Finals.
King James’ 41 gives him 125 of Cleveland’s 291 points in the series (43%). Remember all that stink being raised in February about Mo Williams being an All-Star? Well, he’s made 18-of-56 shots thus far in the series and had five turnovers to three assists tonight. Another question regarding LeBron’s supporting cast: When did Zydrunas Ilgauskas turn into a three-point shooter? What year is this? How long have I been asleep?
Anyway, enough on the Cavs — Orlando came out ready to play after losing in heartbreaking fashion Friday night, which is hardly unexpected for a team led by the fiery Ron Jeremy. With Dwight Howard in foul trouble again for much of the night, the Magic got another boost from sixth man Mickael Pietrus. Seems like everytime I watch this team play the guy is lighting it up.
Well, like its Western Conference counterpart, this series is shaping up to be a good one. Game 5 goes Tuesday night in Orlando, where the Magic will look to put a stranglehold on the LeBrons.
