T.O., upon finding out the Bills don't have a proven QB
Yeah, I’ll admit I didn’t see this one coming — Terrell Owens, cut by the Cowboys last week, signed a one-year, $6.5 million deal with Buffalo yesterday.
I think this is a good deal for the Bills. Sure, Owens brings a ton of baggage, but unlike other so-called “team cancers”, the teams he’s played for actually have a pretty solid track record. On a one-year contract, Buffalo really couldn’t have gone wrong, since he’ll be playing for his next deal.
Of course, this deal shoots quarterback Trent Edwards into the spotlight, since he’s the guy in charge of getting T.O. the ball? A bit of pressure for a guy that hasn’t completely established himself and isn’t too accustomed to throwing the ball downfield yet? Yeah, I’d say. Should be an interesting year in Buffalo…
